Hello!
In 2011, the people at Lush Oxford street tested on a human to show customers what other companies did to animals. A woman named Jacqueline Traide was tested on in a shop window which streamed live, for 10 hours. She represented an animal test subject for the cosmetics industry. She had to do a series of tests including force-feeding, liquids squirted in her eyes and two injections. During this, she suffered no pain. This performance upset many customers that had passed by, but this shows how testing on animals isn't right. if us, humans make a product, we should test it on our selves. That's why we 're against animal testing. It shouldn't be tested on humans infact, but if people want to make products, they should test in on them not animals.
Just remember, STOP Animal Testing, and raise awareness.
(P.S, well done Jaqueline Traide and thank you!)
Bye!
This blog is about raising awareness for animal testing. No animal should be harmed, hurt or killed for cosmetics. We want the government to introduce a law which will ban testing on animals.

Alternatives to Animal Testing
Hello!
What can we do instead of using animals to test on?
Which way would be the most humane, not cruel way to test cosmetics?
These are some ideas of ways we could test cosmetics and how we could change things in the future.

These are some ideas of ways we could test cosmetics and how we could change things in the future.
- Using blood from human volunteers to test for the presence of fever-causing contaminants in intravenous medicines can save hundreds of thousands of rabbits each year from traditional "pyrogen" tests.
- EpiSkin™, EpiDerm™ and SkinEthic—each composed of artificial human skin—can save thousands of rabbits each year from painful skin corrosion and irritation tests.
- The Bovine Corneal Opacity and Permeability Test and Isolated Chicken Eye Test use eyes from animals slaughtered for the meat industry instead of live rabbits to detect chemicals and products that are severely irritating to the eyes.
- The 3T3 Neutral Red Uptake Phototoxicity Test can replace the use of mice and other animals in the testing of medicines and other products for their potential to cause sunlight induced "photo-toxicity."
- The Reduced Local Lymph Node Assay for skin allergy testing makes it possible to reduce animal use by up to 75 percent compared with traditional guinea pig and mouse tests.
- When testing to determine chemical concentrations that are deadly to fish and other aquatic life, use of the Fish Threshold Method can reduce the numbers of fish used by at least 70 percent compared with standard test methods.
Which way do you think we should test?
Are there any other ideas? Leave them in the comments!

Raising More Awareness
Hello!
"I speak for those who have no voice - but you will never stop hearing mine!"
I've decided we need to speak up, and speak louder!
This post is about what they do to animals and trying to get people to realise what is going on.
"Beagles are routinely blinded, even today in the testing of shampoo and soap. Think of when your in the shower and you get it in your eyes."
How could you?
"If you don't want blood on your hands, why would you put it on your face?"
"Still think you're worth it?"
"The animals on our planet exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans. They are not ours to test on."

Neal's Yard
Hello!
Yesterday, we were out shopping, when we came across a shop called Neal's Yard. We had seen it before but we'd not really payed much attention to it much. We went around, and tried out some of the hand creams and lotions. They smelt amazing! We were a bit concerned though, did they Animal Test? When we went over to the counter, the lady said-
"We don't animal test. We are totally against it. Our products are suitable for vegetarians too."
We had found another Cruelty free Brand! Yey!
They don't just sell hand creams either, they sell:
Just remember, STOP Animal Testing and raise awareness!
Thank you

300!
Hello!
Thanks to you people out there, we have already hit 300 views! This is amazing as we didn't think we'd get this far in a matter of a couple of days. At this rate, we hope to increase this by putting up more blog posts every day that might help you if you're struggling to find info about animal testing. We are aiming to do charity work in the future, and even getting famous people involved in this incredible project.
We are going to go around the counters at different drugstore and beauty shops to ask if their staff know that their products test on animals. We'll make a list of staff that do know, and staff that don't. We think that a lot of the staff that work at the counters probably have pets of their own and wouldn't imagine that the company that they work for treat animals so badly. We think they'd be shocked to hear this. If we worked for a company that tested on animals, we'd definitely want to know about it!
Just remember, STOP Animal Testing and raise awareness!

Best Places to Shop (Cruelty-Free)
Hello!
At the moment it is very hard to find shops that are cruelty free and have a range of amazing products, but hopefully we can change that!
Always check if the shop is definitely against animal testing before shopping there, some shops advertisements are quite misleading!

Reasons To Be Against Animal Testing
Hello!
People don't realize what is in their products that they use on their face everyday, or wash their hair with.
They don't know what animals have to go through for us to look good.
Surely if a human makes a product, they should test it on a human?
Animals are not ours to test on!
Animals aren't on our planet to be used to test on by humans.
Animals who are tested on should be in their natural habitat, not in a science lab!
How many vitamins do we need that offer the same thing as the one next to it. How much makeup does one company need to be happy-never mind thousands. How many animals do we have to kill to be happy with some chocolate that is supposedly poisonous and we have to have lab rats eat it make sure it is not. Knowing the food in my hand was tested on for some reason like that really makes me feel sick. Not to mention drinks, bake dgoods, mouth wash, toothpaste, soaps, and other food and beauty products consumed by humans every day.
I don't believe it is right to kill a poor animal to get a product that we functioned just fine without before hand. So many animals are being killed for our happiness and I don't think it is right at all. There is no reason to kill an animal for something so pointless as a food product or cosmetic.
