Very Exciting News! Read Below!

Hello!

We have amazing news that we have been waiting to tell you for ages!
We are working with a person who is very popular on YouTube and she has 27 thousand subscribers! If 27 thousand more people learn about animal testing, much more people are going to become more aware!

The person who we are working with is...
+Pets Palace TV

Erin has 17 pets and she is a real animal lover!
Obviously owning rabbits and guinea pigs we thought she would be against animal testing and she could help us raise awareness!

We spoke to her and she said she was interested to learn more about it and anything she could do to prevent these awful things from happening. The next day Erin said it would be good if she could interview me so other people could learn more, so I answered some questions and Erin said she would make a YouTube video about it!

We don't know when this will happen as it takes a while to find time to make videos while looking after all of  her guinea pigs!

Please check out Erin's channel!

Original Source

Hello!

When I was getting ready to go in the bath last night, I discovered that Original Source don't test on animals! Most of you probably already know as it clearly says- Tested on Us. This is such a relief because their range of products are so incredible and last for ages. Even better- most of their shower gels are priced at only £1! I mean, come on, that's amazing! The products are sold at lots of different places- Asda, Boots, Morrison's, Ocado, Sainsbury's, Superdrug, Tesco, Waitrose and lots of other places too. If you go to one of these places, they will have quite a lot of products, but seriously- check out the website! Not only shower gels, but hand creams, body lotions, body butters, hand washes, skin quench oils, daily scrubs and so much more! Here is what Original Source say about animal testing on their website:

Tested on us

We test on us. Why?  Because we are against animal testing and like others, we do not test on animals and nor do we have any testing conducted by 3rd parties on our behalf.
Since March 2013, it has been illegal in the EU to test cosmetic ingredients or products on animals. The Original Source brand supports the position the EU have taken to ban the testing of cosmetic products and ingredients, we also welcome the positive moves being taken by other regulatory bodies in China, India, USA and elsewhere to eradicate the use of animals in the testing of cosmetics globally.

We should totally appreciate that they are against animal testing and we should follow in their footsteps. Please support us and most importantly them.

Just remember, STOP Animal Testing and raise awareness.

M&S

Hello!

Recently, we realised that Marks and Spencer, do not test on animals! This is amazing! If you go on the M&S website, they officially say that they are against animal testing! This is what they say about animal testing:

Cruelty Free Beauty
At M&S, we know that many of our customers are concerned about the use of animals for testing cosmetic and household products. We're against animal testing too.

We don’t test any of our M&S beauty or household products on animals. But we wanted to go further than this. We guarantee that none of the individual ingredients in our beauty or household products is tested on animals either, starting from a fixed cut-off date of January 2006.

This covers more than 1,200 products and, more importantly, their individual ingredients, from lavender laundry liquid to tea tree face wipes.

All these products have the stamp of approval from Cruelty Free International, founded by the BUAV (British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection). You’ll see their ‘Leaping Bunny’ logo on pack, which means you’ll know that what you’re buying is free from animal testing.

Cruelty Free International & BUAV chief executive Michelle Thew says, "We applaud Marks & Spencer for taking this step to prove its cruelty-free retailer status. The ‘Leaping Bunny’ logo approval is the global gold standard in cruelty-free cosmetics and household products, so I’m delighted M&S has taken this step to reassure its customers."

As it says in this passage, the Leaping bunny sign is on all of their beauty products, proudly presenting M&S with a cruelty free collection.  As well as that, M&S have a great group of products that sell at a reasonable price, so if you haven't already, go and check their beauty products out!

Just remember, STOP Animal Testing, and raise awareness!

Cruelty-Free Haul

Hello!

Just some things that I bought that I would really recommend!

Lush:

Creamy Candy

If you’d normally reach for a sweet treat to lift your mood, this bubble bar does just the job. Its sweet candy floss smell raises your energy levels and perks you up. It also offers extra moisturisation than the average bubble bar as it has a blend of almond and cocoa butter. Creamy Candy contains almond oil and butter chunks that melt onto the surface of the water, giving skin a velvety texture.

Green Fun

"Keen Green Molding Machine!"

Within this Fun lies a dinosaur, ready to rise, or an alien who’ll descend from star-spangled skies. This cleansing dough can be used as a shampoo, bubble bar, soap and most definitely for play. Its tangy lemon and lime oils awaken the senses to leave you feeling cheerful and energised. This is ideal for children (of all ages), so what in the world will you make?

Happy Hippy

This shower gel bursting with pink grapefruit is just the thing to add some early-morning zest. We squeeze fresh pink grapefruits and add grapefruit and bergamot essential oils to put an extra zing in your step. We’ve also added some frankincense oil to give the fragrance some grrr.

The comforter shower cream

This berrylicious, reassuring shower cream brings to mind warm, familiar memories. The blend of sweet cassis absolute, uplifting bergamot and assuring cypress essential oils create a blackcurranty aroma that’s like being wrapped in a snug hug.

Refresher shower jelly

When it's nice weather for ducks outside, head straight for the shower with this lemon jelly. Inside, a citrus explosion of fresh organic lemon infusion, lemon oil and organic lemon myrtle will blow the blues away. Why not take your jelly straight out of the fridge or freezer and into the bath or shower with you? The rush of cold on your skin will send blood pumping to the surface, increasing circulation and delivering a super-refreshed feeling.

The Body Shop

Tea tree facial wash

This daily-use facial wash for blemished skin gives clearer-looking skin when used as part of a regular regime.
  • Removes excess oil without over-drying skin
  • Helps remove impurities
  • Clinically proven to give clearer-looking skin

You guys!

Hello!

Recently, we have been commenting on instagram, at brands like Mac or L'Oreal etc. So many of you have agreed with us, to Stop Animal Testing. This amazed us as we didn't think so many people were against. We comment saying things like:

  • Stop animal testing! (and we use the hashtag #stopanimaltesting)
  • There is no need for testing on animals, if people create, then they should test.
  • We ask questions like- Would you liked to be burnt? Shaved? Killed? Harmed? Abused? (This gets people aware of what companies do in the labs.)
  • We ask people if they are against
  • We raise awareness- STOP ANIMAL TESTING! ITS ANIMAL CRUELTY! ITS UNFAIR!
These comments do raise awareness and lots of you get involved. Some people ask why we care to stop animal testing. We say- because its unfair and its abusive! Some people reply back saying- Stop Animal Testing! And some people say- Well get off Macs account then! We just say- We're only raising awareness! (that shuts them up! :) ) It's so incredible seeing others commenting- Stop Animal Testing and other supportive things to raise awareness. We really want more of this!

Remember, STOP Animal Testing and raise awareness! (Also, thank you for getting us nearly 1000 views on our blog! We're so close!)

I won't buy while animals die

Hello!

rabbit used for cosmetics testing
For more than two decades, Avon, Mary Kay, Estée Lauder, and Revlon were among the largest mainstream international companies on PETA's cruelty-free lists. Avon banned all tests on animals following PETA's massive "Avon Killing" campaign, and Mary Kay pledged to go cruelty-free after cartoonist Berkeley Breathed mocked the company in his popular Bloom County comic strip. Since then, all four companies have enjoyed the support of PETA and millions of consumers who choose to buy cosmetics from companies that don't harm animals. But now we have learned that all four companies have been paying for tests on animals in order to sell their products in China—and they did not inform PETA or consumers that their policies had changed. We have no choice but to downgrade them by placing them on our list of companies that test on animals.
I was distressed to learn that Avon, Mary Kay, Estee Lauder, and Revlon are paying to have their products tested on animals for marketing in China. Your company has violated the trust of loyal customers such as me who have counted on your brand for decades largely because of your cruelty-free policies.

I will no longer purchase products from your company, and I'm sharing this disturbing information with everyone I know.

Additional Information

Hello!

We are currently making a e-petition.
It's really exciting because once we have over ten thousand signs, it could be discussed in the House of Commons!

This is just some additional information:

Animal Testing should be against the law because no animal should have to be harmed for us. We want to raise awareness as much as possible, we want the government to introduce a law that will ban testing on animals avoiding cruelty and death. The alternatives to animal testing are much easier than testing on animals. Scientists have developed test methods to predict how a chemical may harm cells, tissues and organs. These technologies can detect effects that animal tests can miss device could test more chemicals in a day than in the last 30 years!

Thank you!

Facts That could Help

Hello!

This blog post is about facts and things that could help stop animal testing. Most people don't even realise that products that they use test on animals. Here is a list of facts that you may or may not already know about AT:

  • Not only rats, rabbits, guinea pigs and mice are tested on. I'm sorry if you've got either a reptile, bird or amphibian. They are tested on as well, just not as much.
  • Sometimes, animals are tested on every single day, for 2 years! Just to make a shampoo or perfume etc...
  • Over 100 million animals are burned, killed, poisoned or abused every year in the US.
  • After treatment, people don't give pain relief or anything to the abused animal, they either kill it, or leave it to die.
  • Acids are sometimes used during experiments. (If you've done acids in science, you know what I mean, they're deadly!)

Cruelty Towards Animals

Hello!

Iv'e finally got wi-fi and signal!
At the moment we're in a remote place and the weather has been quite bad so getting signal hasn't been easy!

Also, thank you so much for almost 800 views!

I've been doing some research, it's been quite interesting, I thought I would write a blog post while I've got signal!

How many animals are used?

In the UK, around four million animals are used in laboratory experiments each year. Hundreds of thousands more animals are bred and killed so bits of their bodies can be used in research. In addition, millions of ‘surplus’ animals are bred but never used – they are just disposed of and their deaths are not even recorded.

Which animals are used?

Mostly mice and rats because they are small, cheap and easy to breed, but guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, dogs, monkeys, birds, reptiles, pigs, sheep, cattle, chickens, horses and fish are also routinely used. Tests that use animals to assess the safety of cosmetics and personal care products—such as lipstick, mascara, shampoo, and cologne—are still extremely common in the United States. Pain relief is rarely provided and the animals used are always killed at the end of each test.
Which Products are used?
Scientists and researchers have devised endless ways of abusing animals in experiments. They use them to test weedkillers and pesticides as well as new ingredients for cleaning fluids, paints, food, drinks and even pet food.

Barry M

Hello!

In the future, we are going to be posting blog posts about different companies that are well priced, cruelty free (obviously), and that have good products. On the Barry M website, it officially says that they don't test on animals. Before we started this blog, we shopped at lots of brands including Barry M. We loved this even before we discovered animal testing and we were incredibly shocked at the amount of companies that test on animals. We then researched ones that don't test. Barry M don't! Yey! (What a relief!) Here's a list of our Top 3 products:

  • Genie lipstick (Duh!)
  • Speedy Quick dry nail paint
  • Chisel Cheeks contour kit
Check out this brand (if you already haven't!)

Why?

Hello!

We're going to be asking all of the major brands one simple question. Why do it? Why test on animals? Surely, some of you out there will understand, wont you? If humans make a product, then they should test on themselves, or find out a better way, shouldn't they? E-mailing companies might help a bit, but if every single one of you at home helped out, and e-mailed more and more to the big brands, it might just be enough. Two of us, already have raised awareness, but they'd listen to a bigger crowd, we're sure. Help out, take part and raise awareness!

STOP Animal Testing!

Bye!
